Case in point:

You have 4 acres of lawn. "I'm just a homeowner". In our mind, a normal homeowner has up to 1, maybe 1.5 acres. But once you get past that you need to sit back and ask yourself two questions:

  1. How long do I want to keep this piece of equipment?
  2. How long do I want this task to take?

Some economical equipment may give you a positive initial impression, but if the unit is too small or light-duty for the job, it makes the job take way too long. You'll get blisters on your blisters!

Plus, you wear out the equipment prematurely. Then you have to go and spend the money that you should have in the first place. (The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting to get a different result )

Remember the old saying:
"The right tool for the right job."

"I'm just a homeowner"

That is how many people introduce their needs. It is a thought process which results in "I don't want to spend more money that I absolutely have to." While I can certainly appreciate that concern, sometimes you have to spend a certain amount just to get where you need to be.

Cheap equipment is no fun to operate either. So many times people will want us to fix their 'brand X' equipment... and honestly we'd like to. But we cannot fix deficient designs. (We're good, but we're not that good!) Better equipment is the result of better engineering, better materials, and better companies that back it.
