Year Update
02-07-08
Well, I'm off re-inventing the wheel I guess! Just trying to make the
website look more appealing. I hope you like the work in progress.
Eventually it will all be switched from frames mode to css. But
for those of you that are web-challenged, it means virtually nothing!
In the mean time, I tried to make it look
friendlier and more professional. Tell me what you think!
The start of a new year is the start of many new
things as well. We are changing a number of things around in the showroom, and
have some new items as well. |
Bad Gas?
10-1-07
Because of the current 'enhanced fuel'
that we buy here in the northeast, we recommend the following:
-
Keep
premix fuel for no longer than 1
month. After that put it in the tractor or other 4 stroke engine. (Even if it's premixed, 1 gallon with
4 clean gallons will be highly diluted.) *
-
Use higher octane fuel. Especially
with 2 strokes. 91 or 93 octane.
-
Use fuel stabilizer
in all occasional use equipment.
-
If you do
not anticipate running the unit for another month, then empty the
fuel tank and run the unit dry at low to medium engine RPM.
-
Put 1/2 capful of Marvel Mystery
Oil in your chainsaw fuel tank every once in a while. (Once
the machine has at least 10 hours of use). Or, 1 oz for every
5 gallons.
* = may be politically incorrect, but
gasoline costs too much to throw out!
--Incidentally, it is not just NY. I
have talked to dealers from other northeast states that are having just
as much fun!

Charge it? Think again.
10-11-07
Did you know we are charged .20 cents for every swipe of your charge
card?
Did you know that we also pay for a
percentage of each transaction made on every credit card purchase?
When you go to a small business and use
that credit card for minimal purchases, say, less than $8, you are in
effect, taking out of their bottom line.
Don't believe that lie on TV that
makes you think that the small business actually prefers credit cards!
Example: At the corner store, you buy a cup of coffee for $1.
If you charge it,
almost .21 cents of that money goes straight to the card company! How long can
they stay in
business when the big charge card company is getting all his profit?
After all, we really want that small
business to be there when we need them. They do many things that big box
stores can't. But to make that happen, we all need to help in any way we can.
So next time you want to say 'charge it',
see if you can 'cash it' first. Please.
