Cut Off Saws Details |
| The problem with many cutoff saws is not so much their
ability to cut, but rather keeping out the crud to stay running.
The is from an older Partner® brand saw. Look how much dirt (and water) got past the filter to the carb throat area. That means the engine has ingested dirt and debris - which leads to an quicker engine deterioration. |

This is their filter arrangement. Nice idea, but
apparently not reliable enough! The worst conditions for an air filter is
probably a cut-off saw. Very high dust conditions. Way to go, PARTNER!
