Zero Turn Mowers

BOB-CAT Walk-Behind and Zero-Turn Mowers

Meet the new Bob-Cat Zero Turn Predator Pro. Engine sizes now go to the 37HP Kawasaki!  Bobcat Turf has been our mainstay for probably 25 years now. Since they have been recently bought out by Commercial Grounds Care (aka. Schiller-Pfeiffer), things have certainly been on the move in their camp.

It's about time, you say? We agree. Bobcat has always had a solid machine, it just needed a bit of updating to put it ahead of the pack again.  We're sure you'll agree.

Advantages of Bob-Cat Z's:

  • Lifetime Warranty on Deck, Deck Cradle & Engine Deck
  • Heavy-gauge deck for durability
  • Molded rubber discharge chute that bounces back from hard knocks
  • Maintenance-free spindles and wheel bearings mean less down-time
  • Extreme Discharge System for superior clipping dispersal.
  • Anti-scalp rollers for superior contour mowing
  • 4-Point Full Suspension Seat comes Standard!
  • Quick Lift foot pedal to raise and lower deck on the go with ease
  • NEW Dual Warranty Option

Gravely's claim to fame is their longevity. To anyone who has ever heard of this manufacturer, the very name conjures the thought of a grandfather using his 2 wheel tractor.
  • Check out the new EYE-Q electronic system to monitor the machines every function (optional on most models)
  • Re-enforced deck design.
  • Hydraulic deck lift available on some models
  • Marbain steel blades.
  • Self adjusting belts.
  • Maint. free spindles.
Homeowner Thoughts:

If you are cutting 2 or more acres as a homeowner, you should consider a commercial 'Z' rather than a consumer model. They operate more smoothly, and are able to cut at a higher rate of ground speed, and will last longer with fewer repairs.
Pro Thoughts:

If you are a commercial cutter, we work hard to keep you as a customer. We have a great selection of machines for your every need.

We have a huge selection of parts to keep you mowing.

Midsize Walkbehinds

Bob-Cat Walkbehinds:

  • Self tensioning belts (less maintenance)
  • Electric clutch (less maintenance, quicker blade stop)
  • Easy to use, ergonomic controls, 6 speed gearbox (or hydrostatic drive)
  • Double thickness deck under pulleys
  • Greaseless, no maintenance spindles; bearings are not stressed by being pressed in, but rather held 'captive' instead.
  • Large diameter tires mean a greater 'footprint'.
  • High ground clearance
  • 'Greenskin' tires in front (flat, no tread; less likely to carry grass on traction surface).

Our opinion: Most ergonomic belt drive walk-behind available.

*Dont forget about the Bobcat Classic model!  It's designed so that as a homeowner,
you can have your cake and eat it too!

Gravely Home Page

Gravely has a midsize walkbehind with quality and features, built into it's name.
  • Fully adjustable height deck, using 4 easy moving pins. (Moves the WHOLE deck!)
  • Marbain blades.
  • Maint. free spindles.
  • Liberal use of nylon bushings to minimize metal wear on various pivot points.

Our opinion: One of the all-around best deals going.

Homeowner Thoughts:
A commercial walk behind unit is almost always faster than a homeowner riding mower. Plus it will cut better, and is usually safer.

One big plus is this: Safety. Often we will recommend a commercial walkbehind for those lawn that are less than 'Z' or tractor friendly.

Pro Thoughts:

If you are doing lawns with many hills, a hydrostatic drive is always a stronger drive system than belts and a gearbox.

But no matter how you slice it, a midsize walkbehind is a necessity of the commercial cutter!

  Sulkys

We have various sulkys in stock that can be used:

Come by and see what we have!

Bull Rider.  This sulky is way-cool!

When you lock the pivot point and let the 2 wheels swivel, you become 'one' with the machine, and do not pivot separately! Much easier, and safer, especially on a hydro!

Homeowner Thoughts:
Having a sulky, sitting or standing, gives you the effect of a  tractor, but you mow a lot quicker!
Our Thoughts:
A sulky can make life easier, or more difficult! Choose one that works best for you in function. (2 wheel vs. 1 wheel vs. Skid plates)

Always keep in mind, they do add wear and tear to your commercial midsize walkbehind's drive system.

'Stand on' machines

Stander

Great for when you need to do a barrage of smaller lawns! Has a smaller effected footprint than a zero turn mower, or a midsize walkbehind!

The wave of the future Zero turns; the Wright® Stander (you stand on the back).

The Stander is a space and time saver for those guys who have lots of crew, lots of lawn, but only so much room on the trailer! The foot print is 2/3 the size of the typical "Z". This particular one is a 54" cut.

Super durable, it is designed by the same person who gave us the Grass Gobbler, and the Velke.

Our Thoughts:
The Stander is a great way to go for those commercial users who do many smaller lawns, and need the maneuverability. So far, we have seen an excellent track record regarding reliability. Every one I've talked to who owns one, would certainly buy another because they like it so much.

  Edgers

We sell Little Wonder edgers.

They work great, and last a long time. What more can we ask for?
These have been made for decades now, with little change. A simple,
easy to use combination of strength and design.

FC 85 EdgerMM 55 Stihl also has stick edgers, in 2-stroke hand held variety. This can be a handy way of getting the job done.

Or, get the Stihl KM110R trimmer with a split boom, so you can put on various attachments, including an edger.

Or, the Stihl MM55 with the edger attachment. The beauty of this model is that the weight is down low. Makes a great sweeper too!

Our (very last) Thoughts regarding Commercial mowing equipment*:

If you are a commercial cutter, more than anything, you want a dealer you can rely on. That is what makes you or breaks you, as a business. If you have equipment down, it does you no good. We try extremely hard to keep our commercial cutters out there doing what they do best. As far as equipment is concerned, we work hard at weeding out the undesirables. We've heard comments from some of our loyal customers such as, "it really does not matter what you are selling, I'd buy it because it is coming from you."  That is our commitment to YOU!

Judge for yourself.

You owe it to yourself to stop by and check us out!

*No bias here!  These are our opinions, because like you, we are entitled to them.  :-)
