Sherwood's Power Equipment was started in the late 1940's, by George Sherwood. He was a mechanic by trade at the Main Street Garage, in Cornwall, NY. He began this business with popular name brands that we still carry today, such as Toro-Wheel Horse®, and Ariens®. He worked hard to hand down a sufficient business to his son, which he succeeded in doing. His son, David Sherwood, met even more success in the business by adding product brands, and adding onto the building. He was a stickler for neatness, which was passed down to his children, along with his many mechanical abilities. He currently resides in sunny Tennessee, although he greatly misses his family. |
More than a few times a customer has come in, just to thank us, and then walk back out the door. This is especially true in the winter. You see, we are not driven by $$ in our pocket nearly as much the satisfaction knowing you have the right machine for the job. To that end we work tirelessly! We are regarded as highly experienced in our field; even the manufacturers call us help to them out on occasion. We strive to be always fair. We try to go the extra mile for our customers. You work hard for your money, why shouldn't we? Rest assured, we do!

Our business is now in it's fourth generation, under the
direction of David Sherwood, Jr., who has been 'chief' for over 25 years
now. We have other members of the Sherwood family involved, and have
experienced success as never before. We feel that this is due to, more than anything
else, the result of friendly and knowledgeable individuals who take pride
in helping you. We work like a family, even if our last names may not all be
'Sherwood'.
Sherwood's is an active part of our community, serving private and commercial customers, schools, municipalities, federal government entities, and more. The local fire districts depend upon perfect service, and fast turn-around times. We work hard to satisfy! |
